How the site is built for accessibility

Interior Designer UK is built as plain semantic HTML with one stylesheet and no scripts that alter the page after it loads, so screen readers, keyboard navigation and browser text resizing work on every page without special modes. Each page has one main heading, a skip link to the main content, labelled navigation regions, breadcrumb links, and tables with header cells that assistive technology can announce.

What the site does to support readers with low vision

Body text is set in Arial at 16 pixels on a cream background, links are underlined rather than distinguished by colour alone, and the page reflows to a single column below 700 pixels so that text enlarged to 200 per cent does not require horizontal scrolling. Images carry descriptive alternative text and a caption that names the subject of the picture.

What the site does not yet do

The site does not yet provide a high-contrast theme switch or a text-only version, and some data tables with four columns wrap their cells on narrow screens, which keeps the table readable but lengthens it. The editorial team reviews the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA and records unresolved issues on this page.

How to report an accessibility problem

A reader who finds a barrier can email info@interior-designer.uk.com with the page address, the assistive technology in use and a description of the problem, and the editorial team aims to reply within ten working days with a fix or an alternative format of the content.
